TOBE Gallery focuses on contemporary photography and collage art. The gallery opened in October 2013 with the aim of providing a space for the presentation of works by Hungarian and Ibero-American contemporary artists who combine a strive for high artistic quality with an experimental spirit. From the beginning, the gallery sought to develop a unique and distinguishable profile, quickly becoming a prominent platform for Hungarian photographers as well. Currently, the gallery represents 21 artists, including both established and emerging talents. In November 2017, TOBE Gallery began operating on Bródy Sándor Street, with a new and larger gallery space. This allows for greater visibility of foreign artists in the Budapest art scene and also facilitates the positioning of contemporary Hungarian photography within an international context.

Since 2015, the gallery has successfully participated in numerous important international fairs (such as Paris Photo, Unseen Amsterdam, Photo London) and festivals.

On its 10th anniversary this year, TOBE Gallery's mission is to promote, introduce, and foster the culture of photographic art to the widest possible audience. The gallery's belief is that photography is an equal partner to any other artistic field. To achieve this, the TOBE Project initiative has been organizing exhibitions for years that showcase various other mediums of contemporary visual arts (painting, video art, sculpture, etc.) alongside photography, creating exciting interactions between different artistic disciplines. Currently, the project gallery represents four artists, but it also collaborates closely with several other artists and creatives.
