Várfok Gallery

The Várfok Gallery, founded in 1990 by Károly Szalóky, is one of the first private galleries established in Budapest to have a purely contemporary art profile. Its decades-long history, continuous development and continuity as well as its constant striving to achieve the highest possible standards, makes the Gallery unique within the context of the Hungarian art scene. A permanent artists’ circle is connected to the Gallery. In its exhibition programme, the Gallery consistently insists on the presentation of the important values of contemporary Hungarian art, and strives to promote the creation and introduction of new works of art to the contemporary art market.
