The Erika Deák Gallery, one of the first commercial galleries in Hungary, was founded in 1998. Ever since its opening the gallery has been activ not only on the local, but on the international art scene, the gallery helped to launch and support the career of many now known and established artists. Beside organizing exhibitions regularly for its represented artists, the gallery also organizes one-two group exhibitions every year to introduce young curators and artists. The owner of the gallery is devoted to supporting the theoretical knowledge of future generations, and founded a grant on the Moholy-Nagy University to annually support one talented student.
