The Ancora Contemporary Gallery opened in the spring of 2022 in downtown Pécs and soon became an active player in the city's contemporary art scene. In addition to bimonthly exhibitions of emerging, up-and-coming, and mid-generation artists, the gallery also engages in various art projects. Professional and co-artistic events and workshops provide a contextual backdrop for the artworks.

The artworks presented at the 2023 Budapest Contemporary art fair will be a selection of the most diverse genres of Ancora Contemporary Gallery's artistic community, including painting, plastic arts, critical and participatory art strategies.
