Képező Galéria

KÉPEZŐ Gallery – where art goes beyond the artwork

KÉPEZŐ Gallery opened its doors in the Margit district in 2021. Through its contemporary fine art exhibitions, it offers artistic experiences that bring contemporary art closer to everyday life making it relatable, accessible, and thought-provoking. KÉPEZŐ is not just a gallery. Education is also an important part of its exhibitions: its mission is education through art. This is realized through its own educational programs, talent development, and free museum education activities so that connecting with art can become a natural and formative experience as early as childhood.

KÉPEZŐ also links these two areas – conveying contemporary art and social engagement – in its charity auctions. A selection from this year's auction material will be on view at the KÉPEZŐ stand for BCT visitors. A shared feature of the works on display and up for auction is that behind the aesthetic experience there is always an idea. The works touch on global and social issues, important dilemmas of our present, and current questions of human existence. Thus the works are not simply beautiful or exciting: they initiate dialogue, raise questions, and invite us to look at the world differently, if only for a moment.

Taking part in the charity auction is therefore about more than acquiring a work of art. A piece can find a new home, while the buyer contributes to KÉPEZŐ's nonprofit educational programs, and thereby to children's art education as well. Here, art is not only a value but also an opportunity to pass on something relevant.

The online auction will take place between October 1–4, 2026, on the Axioart website (www.axioart.com). The works featured in the auction, along with their details and descriptions, can also be viewed on the KÉPEZŐ website: www.kepezo.hu

The full educational program of the BCT fair – for both children and adults – is once again organized and carried out by KÉPEZŐ this year. Fair visitors can take part in the programs free of charge with advance registration.
