The Equilor Collection is 20 Years Old (2006–2026) – presented by Equilor Wealth Office, official sponsor of the Budapest Contemporary Art Fair

Equilor Wealth Office, operating within Equilor Asset Management, is serving for the third consecutive year as the official sponsor of the Art & Antique, Budapest Contemporary, and Füred Art Fair family of art fairs. Beyond using the Equilor Wealth Office stands to showcase select pieces from the Equilor Collection or art projects supported by the corporate group on each occasion, the core principle remains the same as when building the corporate collection: supporting the cultural and artistic sphere, an essential component of an intellectually enriched life. At this year's fair, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Equilor Collection, we are presenting paintings and photographs acquired in recent years.

In 2006, Equilor Investment Ltd. decided to begin building a corporate art collection. At that time, very few players were active in this space in Hungary—following international examples, only a handful of banks and multinational companies felt that financially strong market participants should take on a role in supporting culture. Among the various possibilities, one of the best ways to achieve this is for a company to build its own art collection, directly supporting artists and galleries. At the same time, this contributes to living in a society where, alongside performance-driven and often stressful daily lives, a creative sphere thrives and builds up—offering intellectual nourishment through beauty and philosophical thought.

Since 2006, we have consistently expanded the Equilor Collection, though with varying intensity over time. Our colleagues are an integral part of this process: it matters what kind of environment makes them feel at ease. The collection's curatorial concept—striving for an exciting blend of subtle aesthetics and thought-provoking themes—is directed by Equilor Fine Art. The tranquil interior housing these artworks shares this exact purpose, conveying a balanced perspective to both employees and clients alike. In this spirit, we continue the work begun in 2006, striving to bring even more joy through art to the clients and staff of the Equilor Group.
