AFTERIMAGE

An afterimage is the visual trace that remains even after the original image has disappeared.

The four images reflect on the Kata Szegedi × Márton Nemes collaboration, yet not as a direct documentation of it. Instead, they examine what happens when color, material, and form become detached from their original context.

Familiar objects lose their everyday function, organic and artificial shapes slide into one another, while light and color shift them into a new state. Rather than depicting the collaboration itself, the images function as a kind of visual residue: fragments that evoke something already seen, transformed, or only partially retained.
