acb Gallery
At the 2026 Budapest Contemporary art fair, acb Gallery delivers its signature high professional standard and curatorial consistency, with a central focus this year on the theme of utopia. The selection explores how artists have imagined a better, truer, or inherently unattainable world, and what these visions mean today. Through diverse eras and perspectives, the exhibited works address ideal societies, dreamlike landscapes, and the promise of the future, while also examining doubt and the fragility of illusions.
Established in 2003 in Budapest, acb Gallery has become a defining force in the Hungarian and Eastern European art market over the past two decades. Initially, the gallery represented Hungarian and international neo-conceptual artists who emerged following the political shifts of the 1990s in the Eastern Bloc and who now form the backbone of the mid-career generation. Searching for their roots, the gallery expanded its scope in its second decade: today, it represents the estates and oeuvres of numerous key neo-avant-garde and post-avant-garde artists from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. In recent years, acb has dedicated special attention to recontextualizing Hungarian experimental textile and ceramic art, while remaining consistently open to the most exciting and iconic voices of the youngest generation of artists.
