Molnár Ani Galéria

Ani Molnár Gallery, established in 2009, is one of the leading contemporary art galleries in Budapest. Its programme places a strong emphasis on the representation of Hungarian and international artists from different generations, working in a wide variety of approaches. Supporting young, emerging artists is also a key mission of the gallery, while providing a platform for contemporary tendencies and for addressing current social, cultural and political issues.

The gallery’s artists represent a wide range of conceptual practices employing diverse media, including installation, painting, photography, ceramics, textile, new media and video art. Every two months, the gallery organises two simultaneous solo or group exhibitions based on curatorial concepts. Its programme, built on the international and generational diversity of represented and invited artists, fosters dialogue on contemporary artistic positions, as well as cultural, social and political issues.

At this year’s Budapest Contemporary, Ani Molnár Gallery presents a special selection of works by its artists, featuring the latest as well as previously unseen pieces. Reflecting the diversity of the gallery’s programme, the booth includes paintings, works on paper, objects and photographs, which follow contemporary visual and theoretical tendencies or are rooted in classical avant-garde traditions. Among the artists exhibited at the booth are Tamás Konok, Emese Benczúr, András Wolsky, Áron Baráth, Zsuzsanna Kóródi, György Gáspár, Katalin Kortmann Járay, Karina Mendreczky, Máté Orr, Tamás Waliczky and Balázs Csizik.

From the younger generation, visitors can discover Veronika Csonka’s 3D pen objects, Sándor Körei’s glass sculptures, Abigail With’s ceramics, Ádám Boruzs’s paintings and works by Kinga-Noémi Ács. In addition to Hungarian artists, this year’s fair also features internationally acclaimed foreign artists, including Carlos Aires, Yuko Shiraishi, Tina Gverović, Sonia Navarro, Ekrem Yalcindag and Radenko Milak.”
