VILTIN Gallery
The VILTIN contemporary art gallery launched in 2008 in the heart of Budapest, where an exhibition space and a project room on 200 square meters allowed for two simultaneously running programs. Moving closer to galleries in the city’s central cultural district in 2014, it has since operated a spectacular all-glass, ground level space.
Upon opening, the gallery was immediately invited to the international art scene, successfully becoming a regular at ARCOmadrid, Art Dubai, and the art fair of Vienna, then later at Art Paris as well as taking part in Art Brussels and the Artissima of Turin.
VILTIN’s program presents progressive and technically diverse artistic practices based on the reinterpretation of traditional artistic genres in the frame of solo and curated group exhibitions. Since its foundation, the gallery has been committed to strengthening the position of unique works on paper.
VILTIN often welcomed international projects in the last decade, which has now developed into a conscious focus on Central and Eastern Europe, as it is reflected in the artist roster. The gallery represents acclaimed and remarkable masters, mid- career artists who actively shape the current art scene, and emerging young talents. Their success is proven by the numerous art awards, international biennale, and exhibition participation. Many of them are represented globally, which is becoming increasingly important today.
Further strengthening its presence and dedication on the scene lies within its team’s capability of reaching beyond its own gallery space through successful regional and international curatorial projects.
VILTIN is a member of the Association of Hungarian Contemporary Art Galleries.
